Great thin crust pizza. Love their spicy bread stick sauce.

Fourth of July, ordered a pizza and large bottle of Pepsi. They neglected to put on pepperoni, didn't put on the extra pepperoni, and didn't send the pop. Needless to say I'm disappointed.

I ate here a few times a week when I was at PSU. Probably the best pizza in town and it's cheap. If anyone wants some good pizza, hit up College Pizza.

Some people knock on College Pizza, but I say to them, what do you expect? You're in a college town and you're paying $1 a slice here. You should not even have the right to complain. With that being said, College Pizza actually isn't half bad. They're pretty fast in delivering pizza's to you in a timely manner, open late, and if you dine in, there usually isn't a line. Definitely, if you've had some alcohol system, you're probably going to end up here. With combos for $4, and super cheap slices of pizza, you can't go wrong. The pizza is thin crust, and has a nice crisp to it when you bite in the pizza. You won't be blown away by it's amazing taste, but you can't knock on it for what it's supposed to do. You'll get full for under $4. College Pizza is tucked away in the basement level on Locust, so it gives it that extra nice dingy ambiance. Couple that with drunken undergrads, and cheap pizza, and you have yourself a winning combo. Not the best pizza I've had, but surely not the worst. Pick up a huge pizza pie for under $10 and save yourself from baking frozen pizzas.

Disclaimer: I am a regular customer of Canyon Pizza. I understand that the deal with these by-the-slice joints in State College is that they rely on volume over quantity. I get that. However, there are several joints that fit this bill, so it is more than fair to compare them. College Pizza, less than half a block from Canyon Pizza (in particular), is below the average in this group of by-the-slice joints. I've been to College two or three different times (twice at night, once for lunch -- lunch was this past Saturday, 28 June). This most recent time for lunch was typical of all my experiences. College was empty relative to Canyon; in fact, I was the only customer. Canyon has the $4 deal (which gives you the choice of two topping slices, a cup of pop, and choice of either a pepperoni roll or two breadsticks); College has the $4.50 deal (which gives you the choice of two topping slices, a cup of pop, and a breadstick) or the $3.50 deal (same as the $4.50 deal but two plain slices). I ordered the $3.50 deal, but there were no plain slices available. In fact, all that was available for by-the-slice service was a pesto pie. What kind of by-the-slice shop has no plain slices and only pesto slices available?! Thus, I was forced to order the $4.50 deal; I wasn't even offered what I got for $3.50, as it was plain slices that I wanted. The slices and breadstick were re-heated, just as they would be at Canyon or other by-the-slice place, but it took twice as long as at Canyon. The quality of the slices and breadstick were below par. The pizza crust reminded me of a stale Ritz cracker, and the breadstick was equally dry; it was a good thing I had a drink available to wash that down! The ratio of cheese to sauce on the pizza was OK, though. I suppose one advantage of College to Canyon and most of the other by-the-slice places is that there is plenty of outdoor seating available. However, I kind of like the lack of seating at the other places; that lack makes the eating of the late-night slices a shared cultural experience, which is fun in the frame of mind that is prevalent at the time of night. Not recommended. Go to Canyon; it's half a block away.

College pizza has easily the worst pizza I've ever tasted. Worst than those $2 14 inch walmart frozen pizzas, worst than a slice of wheat bread, with some prego sauce and a slice of yellow American on top. Thin crust (which is great), but literally flooded with oil. I would probably use 5-6 napkins to try to clean it up a little but it would never seem to stop. It was just SO gross. Why would anybody submit their bodies to that? They do seem to have a variety of topping choices, even late night, but Canyon is a much better late night option (although neither have good pizza). Never again.

There was one time I ordered 5 XXL pizzas each with 2 toppings. They made all these pizzas in 20minutes, how did they do it?!?!?

The deal with two slices, a fountain drink, and a breadstick after getting run out of the 'Gaff can't be beat. Go for the spicy marinara dipping sauce.

This place gets 4-stars from me if your drunk, 2 stars if your sober, so compromised at 3! This place is what it is, a late night pizza place with pretty good pizza for a cheap price. The atmosphere is a shabby building with a bunch of drunk college students but they have a lot of seating, TVs tuned to ESPN, unlimited drinks and my personal favorite unlimited hot and mild marinara sauce. The prices on their combos can't be beat. It's a definite stop for me anytime I'm back at school, usually I try to hit before 1:00 if possible which is when it starts to get pretty crowded.

There's a constant struggle between Canyon Pizza and College Pizza for late night customers. That said, College Pizza is merely a version of Canyon Pizza that's willing to take its time to make fully cooked pizza. Other than that, it's nothing special. Roughly the same prices, somewhat better combos. Nice diversion if you can't stand the line.

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
